My church has a silver chalice and small serving plate the mark is "W.& E. S. CO.
We have been unable to find any information on these pieces. We do not know how old they are or where they came from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The only silver company with those initials that I can find in the Rainwater encyclopedia, is Wilcox & Evertsen [Silver Company], so named in 1892 with the reorganization of a slightly older firm in NYC. They were absorbed by Meriden Britannia and moved to Meriden in 1896, which became INternational Silver in 1898.

This isn't conclusive, but it makes sense, given the the mark.
