We had a rainstorm yesterday and it was the perfect time to cut a couple of tree peony flowers. The small silver pitcher is by Jaccard of St. Louis.

As do I, but the lack of coasters under the terracotta makes me cringe-- the salts that can leach out with normal room humidity can do serious damage to the table top.

Thanks for the tip WEV. I think that the artist that makes the porcelain flowers fires the pots in the same manner so that they are not like a regular clay pot. Nevertheless they are rough on the bottom so I put sticky felt pats on the bottom so that the wood would not be scratched.

To be sure I will put them on coasters until I see the artist again.

Are all of the flowers (other than the peonies) porcelain? Who made them? They are beautiful!
