Every year a group of friends and I go on a Holiday Window Tour of the store windows along 5th Avenue. We start at Barney's and work our way south. After the tour, we have dinner near my apartment and then I host a Silver Dessert Soirée this year featuring macaroons.

The silver used this year:

-A Martin & Hall silverplate coffeepot
-A "pair" of Gorham silverplate candlesticks, one dated 1912, the other 1920, but with same monogram.
-A Walker & Hall creamer with Bacchus head spout.
-A pair of Benetfink & Co. plate shell compotes with dolphin legs
-Sterling Gorham creamer and sugar in the Strasbourg pattern
-Teaspoons- 2 Durgin "Chyrsanthemum" and 2 Gorham "Imperial Chyrsanthemum"
-China- Haviland cups and saucers with English aesthetic pottery plates by Blair and Co.

How beautiful! I especially love the teapot and the dolphin compotes. (Which my computer always wants to spell "computes," the vain creature.)

Thanks Polly! The coffee pot is one of my most favorite pieces. The dolphin/shell compotes are new and are fast becoming a favorite as well.

Happy Holidays!
