I have a wonderful enamel spoon with a hallmark I can't decipher. I would love to know who made it and when. I have attempted to look through several books without success.

Here are some pictures of the spoon:

Thank you,

John

The second mark, which is a hammer and a pair of tongs, is the early mark of David-Andersen. It was used 1888 to c. 1930.

Hi,

Paul is correct, it is an early David-Andersen mark. David-Andersen is probably the largest and most important silver manufacturer in Norway, and they are still in business. Your spoon is typical of their high quality enamel work.
