I have been unable to find any information on this silversmith. I have a coffee pot, a creamer and a covered sugar bowl, all marked "sterling .950" and "Hirata & Co". Any suggestions?

950 is a standard used frequently in Japanese silver, and together with the makers name would make think this is Japanese. Hirata may be a dept store?

Thanks Vathek for the info. In the meantime, I came to the conclusion that I misread "Hirata & Co" for Japanese maker "Miyata", & this despite a strong loupe! redface
