I collect sterling ring boxes, and can't find any information on them. Would you happen to have any info or a reference book, or old adds, etc? I'm desperate and would appreciate any help. I would collect ANY sterling ring box but the only ones I've come across are English, American and Canadian. And they are all wonderful. But I'm trying to focus on Canadian now. I can't find any information about them. Even some of the makers like Ellis, Birks, Roden are hard to come by. My only source is Rainwater 4th edition. So I was hoping that the Canadian Silver Society would like to have an enthusiastic silver lover?? Tell me about the society. I have a feeling someone there might have more of an interest in my collection since Birks started it all. Or Howard and Co. of New York may have. I just can't answer that question. any help would be appreciated. Email me at ringboxesgalore@ipa.net if you want my website address to see all the info I have about my collection. Scott and June were so nice to post my collection on their site but it's grown so since then. I would greatly appreciate any printed material you think may be of interest with my particular interest. There is a Journal 1 or 2 times a year and several meetings a year. You can contact the Society c/o Dorothea Burstyn 47 St. Clair Ave. W. Suite 1100 Toronto, On, CA M4V 3A5 I suggest you write to them re your query. I'm afraid I don't have anything I can help you with, but perhaps someone else in the Society will. also, a general work about Canadian production silver is Canadian Silver, Silver Plate and Related Glass, by Doris and Peter Unitt.
