I would like to hear of any additional information on the silversmith Anna Eichen. She worked and sold from her home in Park Ridge c 1900 till 1925 when she and her family were tragically murdered. Her husband was a finisher and worked for the first Kalo shop in Park Ridge. She trained in Denmark and generally worked in the arts & crafts style. They were my father's godparents. I would like to hear from anyone with examples of her work. The mark was AEA in the shape of a circle and 'Hand-wroth'.

This is to add a bit of information and make a correction. The lady's name was Anna EICHER not Eichen (so much for those typing disks). Her husband's name was Heinrich and their home and studio was located at 312 Cedar Street, Park Ridge. I would be interested to here from any slaonites who may have access to or know of newspaper files for Park Ridge in the 1920's.

I finally managed to get a scan of the Eicher mark and Scott has kindly posted it for me. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with items bearing this mark or anyone who may see it on their silver sojourns.
