What a treat to see the images of ONC. I have written and spoken to Geoffrey Blake for some time now and he is a very helpful person. I was glad to be able to see a closeup of him. I want you to encourage you to also visit the Erickson shop in Garner, Mass. Peter Erickson is the grandson of George Erickson, who trained with Arthur Stone. Peter also produces a complete line of flatware in most of the styles that his grandfather produced. If might be nice to have a topic describing and discussing the techniques used by smiths. I would be willing to contribute images and descriptions. Thanks again for sharing your experience at the ONC shop.

Fred,

Thank you for letting us know that you liked the ONC post. It's the only way we know that readers are liking what they see at the website. We will definitely put the Erickson shop on our agenda for a future date. Would you like to come along?

June,
I do appreciate the effort and time you, Scott and all the others put into making this forum a success.
It is a long way from Tucson, Arizona to Garner, Massachusetts. I have been to Peter Erickson's shop and it was facinating and inspirational to see the tools and the way he has his shop setup. He also has a foot activated drop hammer to form the bowls of the spoons. I will contact Peter and prepare him for your possible visit.
