At a recent antique show, I encountered a piece of holloware by Theodore Evans, the early flatware manufacturer. Although the information in Rainwater clearly implies that they made holloware, I had never seen any in person. Any other Evans holloware sightings?

By the way, the dealer had it labelled as Dominick & Haff, even though it had an engraved date of 1857!

You will find that engraved dates frequently have little to do with when the piece was made. Dates can be added as an afterthought. Somes dates seen predate the item and then family members add dates for just about any reason.
