Welcome Maurice.

Quite a set of mysteries. It would be a great help if we could see what each was on; various makers often used similar marks - the IA you show could be half a dozen makers spanning 1720 to 1820 and can only be separated by style. One that can be identified is JSB for John Starr Blackman, working c 1825 in Danbury CT.

Hi,
I will take some time to post some of the objects tomorrow. The JSB mark is not the same as that shown in Hammerslough. There is another possibility in S.C.

The marks shown in Hammerslough for Blackman is simply a shot of the drawing done by Stephen Ensko; while his attributions are generally sound, some of his drawings are more accurate than others. The mark you show is verified by Belden in Marks of American Silversmiths.

You are right. Until now I trusted Hammerslough more than Belden, Live and learn. How do I contact you directly?

My guess on #3 is that it starts with an H and ends in hach or bach. It is on an accentuated fiddle ladle which usually means post 1840 Ky, or Mo. area.
