A friend asked me to help her identify a bunch of her old silver, which included some coin. No problems on the others, but this one beat up serving spoon (8-3/4" long) appears to be either William T. Pratt working in New York in the 1820s or another (or maybe the same?) William T. Pratt working in North Carolina in the 1830s. I'd be grateful for any help in pinning down who, when, where, or whatever!

Thanks,

Cheryl

There is a William T Pratt silversmith in Buffalo, New York in 1826 and a William T Pratt silversmith in Manhattan 1829-30. This may only make matters worse, but it's something.
