swarter Moderator Posts: 2920 Registered: May 2003	posted 07-18-2005 10:18 PM According to Pleasants and Sill, an "Achill Hevitt (or Huet), orphan, aged 18 years and 6 months [was apprenticed] to Simon Wedge, goldsmith and jeweller" on May 5, 1804. Goldsborough gives the same information, but spells the name as "Heuitt (Hevitt, Hewitt) Achill." There is no imformation as to when he finished his apprenticeship (presumably about 1811, assuming the usual 7 year appprenticehip) or where he went. IP: Logged
