I have three coin silver teaspoons with flared shoulders and fiddlebacks all marked "ND." I have a large serving spoon also with flared shoulders and fiddleback marked, I believe, "C. LEFAVOUR," though it is somewhat worn. All the pieces were found with identified spoons from the Massachusetts area circa 1830.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Although the person that initiated this posting is probably no longer active on the forum, there's always a chance that someone is going to find another piece of silver with one of these markings in particular, and therefore have a use for this reply. As a starting point for the C Lefavour marking, there is a Charles Lefavour listed in the 1850 U. S. Federal Census as a jeweller in the City of Linn, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was born about 1812.

Also a Charles Lefavour listed as a watchmaker 32 Washington in the 1852 Boston City Directory. His home is indicated as being in Lynn in this directory.
