I am having a hard time identifying this mark. It is three conjoined circles. A star in the first one, followed by a D and another star. The fork was sold through Ford and Wise.

McGrew in his book “Manufacturers’ Marks on American Coin Silver” tentatively attributes the star D star mark to Willard and Hawley of up State NY. He shows three different marks with a star D star.
Retailers with this mark include:
J. Dean Hawley
L.S. Howard & Bro
N. Matson
S & J Myers
Sunderlin & McAllister
