When Pentecost Balckinton (1693-1744) and Rebecca Fickett (1693-1771) settled into their Attleboro farm after marrying in 1714, their thoughts for the future probably ran as far as planting next year's crop of wheat. In time, however, the seeds they sowed would bring forth a harvest more silver, than gold:
