Hi Guys (and Ladies) Yes Smaug is back, and on the prowl in serach of new and interesting items... I have been in India and been under a lot of work pressure and these 100+ hours have nearly killed me... But Old Dragons never die... we just hoard more tresure... Have come up on a couple of different itenms during my travels, but have not gotten any timme to do any serious searching. I did how ever just stumble onto a pair of Early Hanovarion Spoons (1725 - 1760) that apear to be American. They are stamped with three consecutive marks of (WV) or (AM. construction and weight feel right and the the drops along with Engraving all seem to matc the period. I will as Mrs Smaug to get pictures as soon as I can (tonight I hope)... Have spent the last 4 years away on Business in India trying to correct the coding of a major program for the companyt and our client (some of you from Briton may have heard of the program -- The NHS --. Any way I did not have time except to eat sleep and work so I have been granted a repreive and am now being allowed to work from Briton (Birminghan area) and actually get a day or so off a month so I will try to sort so things and spend a bit more time catching up... It great to be back and I hope to hear from all of my old friends... I do see a number of the folks I became so familier with before and several new names as well. WEV, I hope to have Lisa (Mrs Smaug) break out my bit and pieces and get the marks (pics) when she returns to the US next month, and maybe add a few missing bits to the effort. thanks Ken "Smaug" IP: Logged |
