Hi All - I came across the interesting thread (Samuel Minott) from Peter S who discovered 2 tankards in the family's bar area that he inherited, of which one was the Minott. A lively and interesting discussion followed of his attempts at researching the item, through local NYC antique dealers, the internet, and finally through the forum, where much helpful info was given. However, the thread stops in 2008 after it is pretty well given that the piece has a good chance of being authentic, with Scott and Agleopar making arrangements to see the owner, and hopefully the tankard in NYC. So my question(s) are to and for Peter, Scott and Agleopar as follows:
Don't leave us hanging - this is a great story! Did the meeting ever take place with any/all of you, and if so - what was the consensus? Any other information ever discovered? And did those darts ever get freed from the tankard? Eagerly awaiting the end to this fascinating mystery. IP: Logged |

Peter & Agleopar were in touch with each other... I believe Peter, without explanation, stopped replying. I never met with Peter and I don't believe Agleopar ever did. IP: Logged |
