As found on a coin silver coffin end salt spoon. Not able to find him online and the genealogy project is down, so hopefully someone will recognize the name. IP: Logged |

That mark is shown in Catherine Hollan's book "Philadelphia Silversmith" as belonging to Thomas Campbell. He worked in New York 1817-20 and Philadelphia 1828-1833. Usually I think of coffin spoons being made around 1800, but anything is possible. I should add that Ms. Hollan lists him as a watchmaker in New York and a jeweler in Philadelphia.
