Anyone know who SL is? The S is somewhat "lazy". On a 9.5" brightcut spoon. 1780's-90's maybe ? IP: Logged |

It would help if you explained the rationale for your suspicion. I did a little looking for the mark and so far nothing. There is an interesting article that mentions Samuel Lockwood of Bermuda: IP: Logged |

Tks. I can see some similarities in the lazy S and the L - but it's not an ideal match. Closest I've come so far but will keep searching... IP: Logged |

Lockwood used more than one mark, so can't rule it out, but more examples are needed, as the style of this one isn't clearly Bermuda. IP: Logged |
