I purchased an interesting little child's picture frame by Gorham - I believe it is Pewter. The mark on the side says: GORHAM E P YC 158 - The picture frame itself is a humpty dumpty on the left and the letters A through Z framing the picture frame. Thanks from Toy

The E P stands for Electro Plate, so it is silver plate. It may look like pewter if most of the silver has been polished off; check inaccessible nooks and crannies for remnants ot the silver plate.

Depending on the age of the frame, the base metal may be Britannia, which is actually a high grade pewter.

"YC 158" (or YC158) is what Gorham would have called the production number.

Silverplate production numbers with the "Y" prefix were used after World War II.

Could the "C" stand for copper? I don't know.
