Well, here is another interesting piece of silver from my mother in law. It is marked Cuevee Silverware on back. Also a Q with a V interwove is on the knives.

This set is really old too.

Any chance you could post a photo of the marks?

Dorothy Rainwater shows a different spelling Cuvee (not Cuevee) as a trademark on silver plate by the Quaker Valley Mfg. Co., Chicago Illinois circa 1900.

I enlarged the marking on the back of the Cuevee knife.

I would think that your mark is correct for Quaker Valley Mfg. Co.. I suppose it is a "typo" in Rainwater. It is also very interesting to see the "QV" logo.
