I just bought a piece from an estate sale and I'm not exactly sure what it is however i think its silver, it has 3 marks on the back, the first is the letter k, the second is something in a crest, I can't figure out what it is and the third is the letter s. It's possibly some kind of candy dish, its round with 4 "legs" on the bottom, it has like a village scene around the sides, a handle attached to it with no bottom in it, it has a crystal dish that sits down in it. I almost forgot it has the numbers 836 30 on the bottom of it. I don't have a digital camera or I would send a picture, however I do have a scanner and if anyone is interested I might be able to scan the hallmarks to them, just e-mail me and let me know. I'm new to silver collecting and any help would be appreciated.

Thank You, SALLY

I don't find your mark in my limited library but can tell you it's probably an American mark and that if it isn't stamped with either the word STERLING or the numbers 925 it's most likely silverplate.
