I would appreciate info of the manufacturer of a large 24" silver vase that has three hall marks. The first is a FleurDeLis the second is a Crown and the third is a Lion? standing on his hind legs faceing to the left. Under these marks are the number D446 and under that a number 24. I have had this vase for over 20 years and have never been able to idenify the hallmarks. Any infor would be appreciated ------------------ IP: Logged |

We'll see who else rings in, but it sounds like E. G. Webster Co. if the fleur-de-lis is actually the tri-feather coronet of the Prince of Wales. IP: Logged |

Without a photo of the makers marks.... I would have to agree with WEV. Per Rainwater: The company's main line was silverplate and they were best known for their highly chased holloware and English reproductions. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the info. Looking at the Hallmark I believe that it the coronet instead of a fleue-de-lei. I notice that the hallmark for E. G Webster Co is not shown in the List of American Silver Marks. Anyone have any information on this Silver Manufacturer? George IP: Logged |
