I am at a point where I know I'm in need of another way to photograph hallmarks. I like to document the results of my research results on interesting pieces. Right now, I just use the small camera on my computer that I use for video conferences. Unfortunately, this has no "zoom" capabilities, so I often end up using that, over a loop or some other magnification - which has to be handheld - as does the small camera on my computer... which leaves me no hands free to click on the mouse. Well, you can imagine that I'm twisted up like a pretzel after all this and still the quality of the photo is poor. Before I venture out to purchase something more efficient, I'd love advice on what works best. I'd really appreciate any suggestions . Merci! ------------------ IP: Logged |

There are some excellent tips in this prior post. I use a Sony Mavica (MVC- FD75) and find that it takes great photos of marks. IP: Logged |

You need a digital camera with a 2 inch or 3 inch focal length and a Macro setting. IP: Logged |
