I purchased (what I think is)a silver water pitcher 40 years ago at a rummage sale.

I have never been able to find out any information regarding maker. I can not get my &*%$ digital camera to work with my new NT operating system, so can't attach a picture of the marks.

The base of the pitcher is an oval. Each section of the base has a marking, as follows:

the letters: BSCEP
symbols: *+*
numbers: 5156
symbols: 1. winged lion with front paw raised
2. this ones tough to explain lookslike a crown on a flower (of sorts)
3. another tough one... looks like a castle turret with an arm holding a hammer coming out of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is by Barbour Silver Company of Hartford CT. If you do a search of the General Silver Forum, you will find several posts dealing with the company.
