I was wondering if someone could help identify this silver platter? I would really appreciate it! I have been searching for quite a while. I think it is silver plate, the hallmarks are an m in a sheild a what looks like a fancy m in a sheild and a crown with a c under it in a sheild and then it says silverplate or silverplater under the hallmarks. . I don't think they are american I thought they may be European but I have had no luck finding out.
This time I have attached photos
Thank You Gina

The platter is probably American silverplate. I do not know the marks offhand, but often, American silverplaters used such marks. The piece is from this century sometime. Similar pieces are probably still made today.

Thank You Very Much Paul,
I was told by someone who sells antiques on a website that it was probably not american because they didn't recognize the marks, but I thought it was american as well.

When were platters like this (with drip wells) first made?
