Hi, im wondering if there any good web sites to help me look up electroplate silver items and there makers, any way i have a little bowl, with the maker being
TI
&
EM
thats what i can make out any way, there is also a stamp of what looks like and, owl. There is also a crown mark, would it be right in saying its made before 1896? thanks for help

Your mark is actually TL & EM, for Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton of Birmingham, England. You are correct, the mark predates 1896. A mark like yours was used from 1866 to 1896. The owl is indeed an owl.

yes that is very helpful, thankyou very much, is there anywhere on the internet that could tell me that or WHAT BOOKS WOULD BE A GOOD INVESTMENT WHEN TRYING TO LOOK IDENTIFY SILVER
