Our family has a collection of large and small forks which we believe are English silverplate from the mid-1800's. The hallmarks are:
Top - WP in a diamond within a crown shape
- Sideways B
- Sideways sheaf?
- Sideways crown or some kind of head?
- Big R smaller D (Does that mean Registered?)
I think these would be called fiddle handle.
We also have 4 spoons made by the same WP, but a slightly different pattern with slightly different markings. Those markings are: WP in diamond in crown
B
Fleur de lis
Sheaf ?
RD
Thanks for any help on this. smile

A picture would help us. And please check the FAQ at the top of the silverplate forum. What is the length of the forks? That is usually a good clue to origin. Thanks, Dale
