Hi All
I have 2 pictures of this piece if anyone can help me. It appears to be a Cigar Box, or Cigar Server. it says EPC on the bottom which I know is Electroplated Copper, and it also says 269 which I know is the silver count. But the part that perplexes me is the hallmarks. One appears to be of a man's face looking to the right, he has a beard on the tip of his chin, maybe a pharroh? the second picture is of a crown the points have little circles on them not sharp points. And the third is an "S" with the bottom tail running up through it to the right and a extra little line across the tail going the opposite way to the left. Does anyone know what mark this may be?
Thanks so very much.

Oh yes, the box itself has a rearing horse on the front and a animal paw which allows you to open the box if you were standing behind it presenting it to someone.

Actually, it's not for cigars, but for what they leave behind; it's a silent butler used with a brush for sweeping up ash, crumbs, etc. The maker is The Sheffield Silver Company of Brooklyn NY.
