Can you please help me identify the maker of this silver, and is it silver or sterling? It is a crown, followed by the initials GSX in fancy letters. Thanks.

The fancy "X" you show is probably crossed keys and I believe it is a plated item from England.

You are all so very kind, and I am so impressed with not only your knowledge, but your willingness to assist. This information is wonderful. My husband and I are new to the silver world as collector and investor. May each of you be blessed a thousand fold! Judi
