Can anyone help me identify these marks that are on what I was told is an old silent butler. They appear to be the following letters each inside a separate shield: K S In and then a figure of a birds head/chest.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Denise

Using just two of the your mark's description terms (bird head) in the SSF search function will return about 16 threads. You will find your answer in one.

I am trying to get someone to help me find an approximate date on a silver or most probably a silver plated piece with the following Hallmarks on the back:
The letters are inside a shield and there is a head of a bird after the letters, the letters are K S In.
Apparently the piece was by the Forbes Silver Co. but I have no clue how to find the approximate date of the piece. Is someone able to help me find a date for the hallmarks.

ANY help is appreciated. I can also tell you that the piece has a figure of a strange lion on the lid, the lower portion of the lions body appears to be sort of like a mermaid??

ANY help is GREATLY appreciated.
