The term Argent Plaque is usually Iberian in origin, but not exclusively so. It was probably made in a country where people speak Spanish or Portugese, there are a lot of these countries.

The Argent Plaque mark tends to be not very well understood in the English speaking world. There may be sources in Spanish and Portugese, but I am not aware of them. Pieces like this come up now and then on the US market. And when they do, they tend to confuse people. The usual auction house and antique dealer solution is to attribute them to Argentina, for no clear reason. AFAIK, these were never exported in any systematic way to the US. Sorry, but that is the extent of my knowlege.
