After doing a internet search, Rainwater search and search here, all I can find with the name Dodge is William Waldo Dodge. Somehow I don't think the bowl I got today is from that artist of the Arts and Craft movement. However again it may be.
The 3 footed bowl is quite deep with a gadrooned rim. The feet are somewhat ornate. It stands 3 1/2" and is 9 1/2" across. The base is marked with a right facing rampant lion, a D in a shield, then a left facing rampant lion. The is faint lettering under this that all I can make out is H RGED (think hand forged)

The third edition of Rainwater lists Dodge, Inc., based in Los Angeles with offices in Chicago, Dallas, Miami and Newark, listed in city directories from the 1940s to the present. Manufacturer and wholesaler, in sterling and plate.

You are correct in your assumption: that firm has nothing to do with William Waldo Dodge.

In my experience with the Dodge Inc marks, silverplate is far more prevalent than sterling. But it's certainly possible some of their work carried only the retail outlet's mark.

EPC=electroplate on copper. This is plated. Most likely it is missing a pyrex glass insert and a lid. Good piece, attractive and useful.

thanks dale, pretty sure it has never had a lid or a pyrex insert. It is too deep for anything but a specially made insert and there is no evidence of a lid, ever being on this. (No special area for one to fit or scratch marks) My thoughts run to just a decorative bowl, like maybe a rose bowl. No water sediment though.
