I bought a stein that has a tiger on it. It also has the name blanche and the date 1877.

On the bottom is the markings Meriden B. Company.

I would like any information you could tell me.

Thank you

"Meriden B. Company" is an abbreviation and refers to the Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden, Connecticut. Also, your item is silver, plated on a base metal.

I'd also guess that it isn't a stein -- perhaps a syrup pitcher or a cup. Without photos it is impossible to tell. What is the number on the bottom?
