Hi,

I have some pieces from REED AND BARTON with the inscription "Silver Soldered".

I am not sure of what silver alloy is this.

Any help?

Hi, I'm not certain this is correct, but I believe that means the metal parts of your item were put together (soldered) with solder containing silver. It's not a silver alloy, but a construction material.

I also have a piece from Reed and Barton with the inscription of "Silver Soldered". Below this is the number 2122-S, below this is the number 1P and below this are the initials M.G.R.R. Can any one tell me anything about this silver bowl which is soldered to a silver plate oblong in shape with handles on either side standing about 3" tall.

Thanks
Torinman
