[01-2050]

I have a four-piece silver set that my Grandmother gave me as a wedding gift. I would like to learn more about them. She says they are from the late 1800's.

The marks on the bottom of the tea pot are:

    L.B.S. CO.
a cross, a crown, a shield with a square inside
    1486
    N.S.
The marks on the bottom of the other 3 pieces creamer, sugar bowl and another bowl are the same except they have the number 1485

I think the company is Lawrence B. Smith?
What year are they from?

Any information would be helpful.
Thank you

Can anyone tell me what year this tea set was made? Does NS mean nickel silver?
Thanks

It is Lawrence B. Smith, founded in 1887 and out of business by 1958. They made some sterling goods, but mostly plated wares, such as yours.
