The tray above is silver plated and is stamped twice on the top right next to the edge with a mark I cannot make out. The mark is cursive “someone and someone” with the first name starting with a K. At the end of the mark are the block letters MP. These may be the initials of the journeyman that finished the tray.
Thanks for any ideas as to the company that made this tray.

Roberts & Slater, Sheffield, 1845-59 - the 'MP' most likely stands for 'Magneto-Plate'.

Thanks Cheryl, I would never have found that maker. The tray is older than I thought and I never heard of magneto plate before. I guess it was an early term for electroplate.
We have had this tray a long time and it is a convenient size for lots of uses.
