Hello everyone!

Does anyone have any references or thoughts about the appearance of Aesthetic silverplate with gilding or sometimes copper which imitate the higher end mixed metal sterling pieces by Gorham and Tiffany?

As an example here is a small jug by the Hartford Silver Plate Company in a Japanesque style with gilding.

Some of it is very, very good.

This is an example by Meriden Britannia Co. from Christies.
