It is a variation of alpacca or alpaca. There is no silver in it, the metal is an alloy of nickle with zinc and copper. My guess is that it is of German origin, or a German speaking country.

Since it is a made up word to market inexpensive silver looking things, a maker can spell it anyway they like. In German speaking countries you often see a K in place of a C.

Actually, Alpaca is not a made up word. It is the name of an Andean relative of the Llama, whose long, warm fur is used to weave warm clothing by native mountain peoples, and expensive luxurious garments for sale in the Western World. It may just be that in this case the name was adopted to convey the image of quality, or even by extension, an origin from the silver mines of South America.
