Hello Joel.

I can only say there was a Denis (one N), Langton who was a silver buckle maker in England in the 1700's.
Are you from England?

I don't know of a Dennis, but there is a Matthias Rice Langton, who was a silversmith, jeweler, and watchmaker in Pittsfield MA.

Yes im from England.
I have a website lostlangtons.co.uk which is about the langton families the world over. All originate from the UK.

I didnt know about Matthias Rice Langton, thank you for that. Do you have any more information on him or his family?

It is all very fascinating and helpful. Especially that his father was Samuel.

I wonder, is there anymore on him anywhere? I see from the other post you pointed me to, that he had a relative John Langton.
