Good to look around at this forum again!!!
Still a lot of members, questions and solutions.
I've several questions about two (?) little silver bowls. ( 11cm and 8,5 cm wide).
After research, I find out there is a connecion with ship /firm / and coastcard.
Where these bowls given as souvenir for a special boattrip or visiting a coastcard (relation gift)in the place of Jobourg in Normandië (in France).
The little bowl shows in the centre a Iranian coin, and at the bottom is engraved "made in Iran" and "Hansa Line".The little bowl is stamped with a square stamp with a lion holding a swoard (indicated for 875/1000 silver) The makers mark I can't find out.
The bigger bowl has a soldered token with the coastcard building and the text: "cross Jobourg", "affaires maritimes" and "surveillance et sauvetage en mer".
There are three marks at the bottom one squair, inside the letter A,a cross and the letter P at the right. Inside the mark, downunder a roman II.
In one of the regtangle marks is standing : "metal argente" and in the other the word Pichard.
I will try to send photo's soon about this two items.
I hope someone can tell me more about the history of this items.
Because I can't find another mark, does the stamp metal argente is a real silvermark.

My last question is ; Are these items been used as drinking bowls? Thank you very much, André (Silverhunter).
