Hello,
I picked this up today and I was wondering about the initials above the hallmark on this. Has anyone seen this on Rockford?
Also any recommendations for cleaning?
Thank you for reading. Janet

The photo is so blurry I cannot see anything. Could you please try taking another photo so we can clearly see the markings? Do you have a "macro" setting on your camera? Most cameras have such a setting that allows you to get up very close and take sharp closeup photos of markings.

The initials appear to be done by hand and most likely is something that was added by the owner or perhaps the retailer.

As for polishing, there are a number of helpful discussions on this forum that you can find with a search. The most important points are to be very gentle when you polish, use a good brand name paste and NOT use dips, and do not "overpolish" since you do want to keep a bit of the darkness in the crevices since that is patina and you do not want it to look like it was made yesterday. To get you started here is a link to one of these discussions here Silver Care (Polishing/Cleaning)
