Hi all!

I currently live on Guam and started having an interest in antique/vintage items last year due to my uncle and auntie are collectors.

It was just last month I started having an interest in silver as I began noticing silver items while I was shopping around looking for vintage/antique items. Ironically, one item I had already bought because I thought it looked cool was a small metal boat on a wooden stand. After looking at it closely, I realized that the boat was made of sterling silver. After researching on [line], I learned it was Maltese (there was a Maltese cross next to the 925 ga? mark). It also had the initials JV but I tried to look for any Maltese silversmiths by those initials but haven't found any.

I will try to post up pics.

Any help is appreciated.

I found this forum while I was researching more about silver online and am really excited to learn more as I am still new regarding this topic.

Here is a pic of a Sterling Silver Maltese boat.

Markings noted at bottom of boat. I was able to identify the Maltese cross but have been unable to identify who JV is. Does anyone know by any chance or can someone recommend a reference book? Thanks!
