We don't have a lot, maybe 40 or so pieces as we're pretty selective on what we buy. A little about myself - I retired from the US Army in 1990 after 22yrs and then worked another 23yrs at Ft. Hood, Texas and retired from there in 2013. Besides silver plate we also collect American Brilliant glass, Early American Pattern Glass and Depression Glass. ------------------ ---Chris IP: Logged

My personal feeling about early silver plate is that it equaled and sometimes surpassed sterling for imagination and verve, let alone that it had, for the most part, the same quality and technical difficulty of sterling in the making. If most sterling is undervalued today then good older plate is way undervalued! IP: Logged
