Hello to all ,
Firstly, many thanks for membership and note I have read, reread, reread the guidelines, read etc the guidelines regarding posting pictures... the first time attempting anything will tell if I have absorbed anything. Now me ...somewhere between 76 years old and death, a semi retired antiques dealer ( only 3 days a week), specializing in 18th and 19th century porcelain,Georgian furniture et al, personal interests, all the above but to include 17th, 18th and early 19th century century English, Scottish, Irish and Provincial silver, so it may be obvious as to which forum subject my interests and involvement will attract.I have a good reference library....real books.... although a high level of research on the internet is undertaken...I support several charitable institutions by undertaking antiques appraisal days to assist in their fund raising. Welcome Pewter2! Thanks for introducing yourself - it sounds like you must have some really nice silver from those periods you collect. I know you have read the rules of the forum, but since you are an active dealer and appraiser please be as careful as possible to stay on the side of just talking about your own personal silver collections rather than any silver you may be selling in the near future or anything you are appraising.
