The marks on it are: --------------------------- 8 DWTS D OZ EMPRO PLATE EPNS A1 --------------------------- Homework/research has been attempted, with limited success. Google et al have no idea who/what "empro plate" is. Spoon is approx 17cm/6.5" long and weighs 50g. Anyone know what I'm dealing with here? Always thank you in anticipation. :-) IP: Logged

The 8 refers to the number of ounces used to make a certain number of spoons. The higher the number the thicker the silver plating would be. IP: Logged

ahwt Posts: 2334 Registered: Mar 2003	posted 08-15-2020 09:20 AM I suspect "empro plate" was the phrase coined by the maker for his silver plated wares. A little like a trademark. I do not have any reference that shows the use of this phrase so the search is still on as to who it really was. Enjoy the spoons as they are attractive.
