Hi,

I have a long knife for carving made by Gorham with a pattern from 1875 that I've only seen 1 other of. In addition to this knife. I have a matching but somewhat smaller fluted spike utensil. I dont know what this spike device is used for but it has very little wear for such an old piece. If someone can help me identify what its used for that would be great!

Thank you,
Reel

Welcome to the forum. Pictures really would be helpful in deciding what items you have. Off the top of my head the only thing that I can think of would be a leg of lamb bone holder for the fluted part.
A Google search of "leg of lamb bone holder" will bring up some examples.
