Hi, found this Meriden B footed silverplate dish with peacocks and rams (goats?), that holds a hexagon shaped etched glass dish. Interested in what year it was made and what it actually is! I did look through all the online 1886-7 catalog for this particular piece and others online and haven'tbeen able to find it at all. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Rebecca, welcome to the forum. Meridian Britannia catalogues may have the information you are looking for. I am only guessing, but I think your lovely centerpiece would be from the late 1800s. The Meridian Britannia company has a very interesting history.
I think your centerpiece is unusual as it has a glass bowl rather than a silver one and that adds some versatility in what you can display in it. I am not sure whether you have rams or goats as they may well be gargoyles instead of either one of these animals. Those with the peacocks makes for interesting symbolic contrasts for your center piece.
