I am recently retired and finally have the time to try to learn more about a silver tea set that has been in my family for some time. All I have learned is it is German 800 silver with Hanau pseudo marks. Any more information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, rls3

Hanau marks have been confusing for years but some information is given at this site. The marks on your silver appear to be those used by Georg Roth and Co. 1891-1919.
The Hanau silver that I have seen has always been of very good quality and highly decorated. Many seem to me to be derived from older style with a twist of something different added by the German silversmith.
I do not think of them as copies as they always seem to add something new or different.
Just a simple search of "Hanau pseudo marks" brings up quite a few interesting sites.
