Hi I recently acquired an art deco vanity set, I cant see any marks of any kind on the items but an image search comes up with identical items, so I have two questions really, the first is, the items I have found online have a a mark of UWM with a lizard in a box made of dots,,,,can anyone identify this mark please.
Secondly would it be normal for items to sometimes have no marks on them but still be by the same company, i have tried puting a magnet against the items and there seem to no attraction

I don't know the mark. First time seeing the mark.
The lizard sets my gut in the direction of Australia or some other desert climate.

I have not seen it before either. My first instinct is that it is a silver plated brush handle since there is no silver hallmark or silver purity marking. UWM is likely either the maker's mark or the retailer's mark.
